I’m talking about rich organic acai blended to perfection, topped with ever-crunchy granola, juicy strawberries, banana slices, and a dollop of creamy peanut butter. I love taking my Beyoncai bowl to-go so I can enjoy it with my toes buried in the warm sand at the beach. Between the sweet taste of the honey drizzle and the salty air of the ocean, there’s no better way to unwind.
Making it to the beach before the acai melts, however, is a bit of an adventure. I like to use the Mad Beet’s call ahead service so that my bowl is ready and waiting for me by the time I get there.
Traffic on Garnet Ave can be a little tricky, so this tends to be a two-person operation. The best way to go about it is to have the driver pull up to the store while the passenger jumps out 007 style to retrieve the acai. Then, it becomes a race against the clock to find beachside parking before the bowl melts. While this may sound stressful, it’s all in good fun. No matter how long it takes, or how melted your bowl gets, I promise your granola will be safe from sogginess. It’s just that good.
