Teddy Bear Teas| First 3 weekends in December

The elegant Westgate Hotel wants to make magical holiday memories for you and your family at their Teddy Bear Tea, which takes place the first three weekends in December. San Diego’s Little Italy will kick-off this holiday season with festive family fun at the 20th Annual Little Italy Tree Lighting and Christmas Village on Saturday, December 1st from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Come experience the neighborhood’s Christmas magic and enjoy festive décor, seasonal vendors, live music and entertainment, horse carriage rides, holiday treats, a tree lighting, visit from Santa and more! La Jolla Christmas Parade and Holiday Festival | Sunday, December 2nd

La Jolla’s 61st Annual Christmas Parade and Holiday Festival will be held on Sunday, December 2nd from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The traditional parade lures people from all over the city to watch floats, marching bands, community groups, drill teams, vintage vehicles, horses and even a camel. The 46th Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights promises to dazzle and entertain bayfront crowds beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9th and Sunday, December 16th. This year’s theme is Tropical Island Christmas, bring will bring more than 100,000 San Diego residents view approximately 80 lavishly decorated boats. Toy Drive for Rady’s Children’s Hospital | Friday, December 14th

In the spirit of Christmas, Woodstock’s Pizza in Pacific Beach is hosting a one night only Toy Drive benefiting Rady’s Children’s Hospital! From 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14th, the pizza joint will be accepting toy donations at their in-store “gift tree” to be given to Rady’s Children’s patients and the Ronald McDonald House, where many Rady’s patient’s siblings stay. Garden of Lights | December 1st – December 31st

Admire over 125,000 sparkling lights that transform The San Diego Botanic Garden into a winter wonderland throughout December. Each day will feature different entertainment, activities including marshmallow roasting and children’s crafts, a beer and mulled wine garden, food and visits with Santa. Tickets are $18 for non-member adults and $5 for youth ages 3 – 17. The San Diego Botanic Garden also offers military specials, which can be viewed on the event website here.


PB Santa Run and Holiday Parade | Saturday, December 15th

Don your best Santa suit for the San Diego Santa Run, which starts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15th! All participants will receive a Sunny Santa Suit; hat, short sleeve jacket, shorts, belt and beard, plus one drink tickets (for those 21 and older) and a pair of sunglasses. Registration runs through race day and can be done online by clicking here.
