Museum Month | February 1st – 28th

During San Diego’s Museum Month, locals and visitors to the city can enjoy half-priced admission at over 40 museums throughout February. Whether you are an art aficionado, history buff or nature lover, you’re sure to find a museum or exhibit that will capture your interest! Museum Month discount passes, which are free, can be picked up at many of the local San Diego libraries or when you stay at a Hilton Hotel. Museums such as the San Diego Natural History Museum, USS Midway, Whaley House and New Children’s Museum are just a few that are included on the pass! Super Sunday Party at Moonshine Flats | February 3rd

No matter which team you’re routing for, everyone is guaranteed a good time at the Moonshine Flats 5th Annual Super Sunday Party, on February 3rd. Football fanatics can watch the game on the big screen, enjoy smokehouse barbecue and drink specials, with doors opening at 11:00 a.m. (and no cover!). Celebrate with tailgate wings, chili cheese waffle fries and $12 bottles of champagne, along with prizes and giveaways every quarter on the game.

 

Coronado Valentine’s Day Run | February 10th

Nothing says love like lacing up your tennis shoes and hitting the pavement for Coronado’s 9th Annual Valentine’s Day 10k, 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run, on Sunday February 10th. After all, this is one of the few (if not the only) race you can register as a couple or as an individual. Each participant, no matter the distance, receives a t-shirt, finisher’s medal, and continental breakfast and beer garden access following the race. Runners and walkers can come dressed to impress with prizes for individuals, couples and group costumes. This will also be the first year the race will also be a matching making event – at registration you can select whether you’re available, taken or “it’s complicated” and you will get a bib to match. Southern-Sea Dragon Lunar New Year Performance | February 10th

Celebrate the Lunar New Year with the Southern-Sea Dragon and Lion Dance Association! On February 10th, the UCSD student-led group will be performing at The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch, Carmel Valley’s premier lifestyle and retail center. Starting at 12:00 p.m., the Southern-Sea Dragon and Lion Dance Association will entertain with a 30-minute Lion Dance Performance, an exciting opportunity to celebrate the Lunar New Year and the vibrant Chinese culture!

 

Dinner + Murder Mystery | February 13th and 14th

Little Italy’s Cloak & Petal will amp up the romance this Valentine’s Day with a special three-course prix-fixe menu priced at $65 per person on the 14th, and the option to partake in an interactive “Who Killed My Valentine” murder mystery dinner on the 13th priced at $80 per person. The special menu featured on both nights will include options like A5 Wagyu Tartare, an array of specialty rolls, and Glazed Duck Breast, among other elevated Japanese plates. Pair your meal with their special Valentine’s Day cocktail, the Kobito No Yume (Lover’s Dream), infused with Peychaud’s bitters, lime juice, pineapple juice, house-made grenadine, and Cutwater fugu hibiscus-infused vodka.

 

I’d Rather Date My Dog Valentine’s Day Party | February 14th

…And they called it, puppy love! Located in Pacific Beach, Mavericks Beach Club is all about the puppy love on February 14th, which is why they’re hosting an “I’d Rather Date My Dog” Valentine’s Day paw-ty. Sponsored by Tito’s Vodka, there will be plenty of fun for both humans and pooches, including drink specials, exciting giveaways and treats for all! The party begins at 3:00 p.m. and awards will be given out for the best dressed “couple”, encouraging four-legged friends to don their best bow tie or tuxedo.

 

San Diego Fleet | February 16th

One week after the Super Bowl, the San Diego Fleet kickoff their inaugural season in the Alliance of American Football, with their first game taking place in San Antonio, Texas. And on February 16th, the team will host their first home game at the SDCCU Stadium when they take on the Atlanta Legends at 5:00 p.m.  Tickets range from $20 to $155 and can be purchased through the team’s website! Football is returning to San Diego, so don’t miss out!

 

San Diego Chinese New Year Fair | February 16th and 17th

The San Diego Chinese New Year Fair is a two-day event showcasing exciting performances, Asian art and culture, an array of delicious Chinese and Asian food, and much more! This free event, which is popular for families and audiences of all ages, will be held at the San Diego Chinese Historical Society and Museum, on Third Avenue and J Street. House of Blue Local Brews, Local Grooves | February 17th

Raise your glasses and cheers to another year of Local Brews and Local Grooves, during President’s Day Weekend, at the House of Blues San Diego! This event features the city’s finest breweries, hottest bands and tastiest food, all in one spot. Breweries include Stone Brewing Co., Mike Hess, Abnormal Co. and many more! There are a variety of ticket packages to choose from, with standard tickets and VIP experiences. Random Act of Kindness Day Fundraiser | February 17th

February is the month of love and kindness and what better way to commemorate it than with a local fundraiser to fight hunger? Skip the flowers and chocolate this year and instead order pizza with a purpose. February 17th marks National Random Acts of Kindness Day, and in honor of the occasion, Woodstock’s Pizza will be performing one of their own! In the past year alone, Woodstock’s has raised over $150,000 worth of free food and cash donations for worthy charities up and down the California coast.
