 Goodguy’s 19th Meguiar Del Mar Nationals Car Show | Friday, April 5th – Sunday, April 7th

The first weekend of April, head to Del Mar to check out over 2,500 rods, custom, classic and muscle cars and trucks. Festival of Beers | Saturday, April 6th

North Park Festival of Beers is right around the corner, which means it’s time to sip and savor your favorite suds from local brewers like Ballast Point, Alpine Beer Company, North Park Beer Co., Thorn Street and many, many more. This year’s food vendors include Ranchwood BBQ, Doggos Dug (Mexican Gourmet Hotdogs), Biersal Food Truck and Bread and Cheese Catering – yum! Uncorked Wine Festivals | Saturday, April 6th

Sip, sip hooray! San Diego’s Uncorked Wine Festival, at the Embarcadero Marina Park North, is back for the fourth year and is bigger and better than ever. Enjoy over 200 wines and champagnes from across the globe, gourmet food trucks, live music, lawn games and more! Bring picnic blankets or beach chairs and come hangout by the water at this event, from which ticket sale benefit local non-profit Urban Surf 4 Kids. San Diego Crew Classic | Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th

The 46th Annual San Diego Crew Classic is the premiere spring rowing regatta, highly regarded among rowers spanning generations, and you’re invited to come enjoy the competitive field of rowing from the beautiful shores of Mission Bay, San Diego. Fallbrook Avocado Festival | Sunday, April 14th

The 22rd Annual Fallbrook Avocado Festival, on Sunday, April 14th, is from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and promises to be a good time for the whole family. Sample avocado-based treats like tasty guac, avocado-flavored ice cream and even Fallbrook’s beloved avocado fudge, you’ve got to try it. There will be plenty of vendors to sample and purchase all sorts of goods from, along with a Kid’s Fun Zone and a beer and wine garden (with live music) for the adults.


Chicano Park Festival | Saturday, April 20th

The 49th Annual Chicano Park Day celebration, on Saturday, April 20th, is from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the historic Chicano Park, in the Logan Heights community. This family event is free and open to the public. The theme this year is “Danzantes, Protector of Our Traditions and Chicano Park, 500 Years of Anti-Colonial Struggle.” There will be plenty of incredible performers, and this event also includes one of the largest Aztec indigenous dance performances. There will be speakers, art workshops for the kids, and over 300 classic lowrider cars and bikes on display. In addition, there will be plenty of food booths and arts and crafts vendors open throughout the park.


Adams Avenue Unplugged | Saturday, April 27th  

Adams Avenue Unplugged is a free musical walkabout that will take place along a two-mile stretch of Adam Avenue, from University Heights on the West through Normal Heights, and into parts of Kensington to the East. The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will feature live musical performances staged inside restaurants, bars, coffee houses, and galleries throughout the neighborhoods. San Diego Kids Expo and Fair | Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th

The Del Mar Fairgrounds is hosting the San Diego Kids Expo and Fair, happening April 27th – 28th  from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This fair is in its 9th year and is a non-profit that is dedicated to helping families find the support, resources, and products that they need. It is the largest running family focused expo in the U.S., with over 15,000 consumers, social media influencers, mom group leaders, media, and buyers who will be coming into San Diego to check out the best in family products and services. Mission Federal Art Walk | Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th

For one weekend, Mission Federal ArtWalk will fill 16 blocks in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood, as thousands of attendees come to view and purchase artwork, enjoy live music and dance performances and participate in interactive art experiences. Mission Federal ArtWalk has celebrate both visual and performing arts in San Diego for over 35 years, as they believe art has the power to connect communities, cultivate new artistic talent and create a better quality of life for all through cultural enrichment. This year, they’re partnering with Rerip – a nonprofit organization that specializes in re-purposed surfboards – for an art project fundraiser for artists and the community. There will be tons of street food available for purchase, including from vendors like Cravory Cookies, Hunter Steakhouse, Original Herbivore and more. Spring is here and San Diego is in full bloom! San Diego Earth Fair | Sunday, April 28th

The San Diego Earth Fair will be held at Balboa Park on April 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is the largest free annual environmental fair in the world! Each year, this incredible fair draws around 60,000 visitors. This year, EarthFair will feature more than 300 exhibitors, special theme areas, a food pavilion, a special Children’s Activity Area, four entertainment venues, the Children’s Earth Parade, an arts and crafts show, and the Cleaner Car Concourse. La Jolla Half Marathon | Sunday, April 28th  

Calling all runners! The La Jolla Half Marathon will take place on April 28th, with the race starting at 6:30 a.m. The 5k also starts at 6:30 a.m. Entry for both races include a short-sleeve t-shirt, half marathon and 5k finisher medals, complimentary Ballast Point beer in the beer garden, and much more! 100% of net proceeds benefit children’s charities.
