Taco Tuesday Should be Every Day

I am not entirely sure who invented the idea of Taco Tuesday, but I would like to take this time to personally thank them. While we’re on the subject, why should we restrict the love of tacos to just one day? Petition to have Taco Tuesday happen every day please. This notion and my love and fervor for all things tacos reached an all-time high during my first visit to City Tacos in North Park.

City Tacos has been on my must try list for some time now, so naturally I was elated when my friend happened to be a block away and wanted to grab a bite. We walked over to the spot and were greeted with neon signs spelling out quippy messages, a rad music playlist and a doormat featuring the iconic pup in a top hat.

I may have transformed into the human form of the heart eye emoji as I browsed the menu and set sight on the Mexicali taco. Complete with steak, onions, poblano peppers, melted cheese and mashed potatoes wrapped in a fresh flour tortilla and topped with crema fresca. It’s no wonder this beauty is first on the House Favorites menu list. My friend opted for two classic Carne Asada tacos. While we were tempted by the Micheladas passing by we both opted for a bottle of Jarritos soda. The salsa bar is fully stocked with a variety of mild, medium and spicy flavors ready to complement any taco.

With three locations and three more on the way, it’s never been easier to enjoy Taco Tuesday or Taco Every Day. Obviously, I would recommend the Mexicali since I am obsessed but City Tacos has tasty Vegan, Paleo and Vegetarian options on the menu as well. I am already drooling– I mean dreaming about my next trip!
