Sip for a Good Cause at Fish Shop | September

Drink wine for a good cause in September, as all four Fish Shop locations – Pacific Beach, Point Loma, Encinitas and Hermosa Beach – have partnered with No Kid Hungry, an organization built to help end child hunger in America. When you dine in, order a glass or bottle of Cupcake Vineyards, AVA Grace Vineyards, Imagery Estate Winery wine and a portion of the proceeds are donated directly to No Kid Hungry. One glass funds five meals and a bottle funds 20 meals!

 

Burgers & Beer | Saturday, September 7th

Join San Diego Reader at Golden Hill Park to help to determine who will be crowned San Diego’s best burger at Burgers & Beer 2019. Enjoy craft beer to pair with burger tastings from vendors like Dunedin, Backyard Kitchen & Tap, urbn, Quinn’s Ale House and more! The event takes place from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m., with VIP admittance starting at 12:00 p.m. Tickets range from $40 – $55 and can be purchased here!

Julian Music Festival | Saturday, September 21st  

Celebrate the end of summer at the 50th Annual Julian Music Festival, from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st. What began as a banjo fiddle competition has morphed into a music festival that features a variety of musical genres including Americana, contemporary jazz, folk and more. Bring your own lawn chair and plan to spend the day relaxing, tickets start at $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and free admission for kids 15 and under with a purchased adult ticket.

 

92119 Party at The Pioneer | Saturday, September 21st

The Pioneer is celebrating their local community this September with their 92119 Party, taking place on Saturday, September 21st at 7:00 p.m. The ticketed event is priced at $30 per person and consists of four food and drink stations situated around the restaurant, each serving unlimited bites paired with bourbon tastings. You’ll also get a welcome drink! Each guest will receive a raffle ticket at the door, which will be entered into drawings taking place every 30 minutes throughout the event, with the chance to win a grand prize basket full of goodies.

 

Food Wine & Brew Celebration | Saturday, September 21st

San Diego’s wildest tasting event, Food, Wine & Brew at the Zoo, features over 160 Southern California breweries, wineries, restaurants and vendors, mixed with live entertainment and dancing! This tasty event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., benefits the San Diego Zoo Global Wildlife Conservancy. Event is 21+ and tickets range from $10-$200. Food vendors include Buona Forchetta, Cork and Craft, Great Maple, Huntress and STK, among many others! Adams Avenue Street Fair | Saturday, September 21st – Sunday, September 22nd

Come enjoy San Diego’s largest FREE two-day music festival, the 38th Annual Adams Avenue Street Fair! 100 musical acts will perform across seven stages, and visitors can also enjoy festival food, giant carnival rides and beer gardens. The street fair takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. For $20, guests can sample a variety of craft beers like pours from Fall Brewing Co., Modern Times, Green Flash and more.

 

Parktoberfest 2019 | Thursday, September 26th

On Thursday, September 26th, head up the coast to Carlsbad’s Park 101 for Parktoberfest 2019! Alesmith Brewing Company will be hosting a tap takeover with their Oktoberfest MarzenLuped In IPA and .394 Pale Ale brews, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Park 101 will also be selling an Alesmith bundle package – $20 for a stein and tee shirt, and $5 fills of Alesmith all night long! There is limited availability, so plan to arrive early and grab lunch. Park 101 has tacos, salads, sandwiches and more.

 

MCAS Miramar Air Show | Friday, September 27th – Sunday, September 29th

The MCAS Miramar Air Show, the largest military air show in the United States, takes place Friday, September 27th through Sunday, September 29th. This year’s theme is “A Salute to First Responders” and general admittance is free with the option to bring your own seating.
